ok, i have 1,000 in the back, 500 on each side of the motor and 650 lbs of sand in the nose and under the front seats.

i am already going about 24.5 mph with the taps set at 2 usually top keep the wake as clean as i can. i want to add more weight, but it seems if i do, it either gets more washy or i would have to drive faster and i really don't want to ride more than 24.5 yet.

i bought a 560 lb bag to add in the walkway and it did make it bigger, but with a lot more wash. (i already had enough of that.)is it possible to go over 20 lbs in these boats and still get a clean wake at 24.5 mph?

all i can say is maintain a 40-60 (40 front-60 rear) weight distribution and you should be good. Taps @ 1, you've gotta get the bow down...what do you mean by 1000 in the back and 500 on each side of the motor?? the motor is in the back! if you have 2000 lbs in the back and 650 in the front, you will have a washy wake for sure, especially with a Tige. hope this helps

That model has what are called 'spray pockets' and when heavily weighted, it will be difficult to not get a wash on top of the wake at wakeboarding speeds. On my 2002 that had them, it was just a slight curl about 1 inch high and was completely cosmetic, as that you could not feel it when you cut up and through the wake.

Check your speed with GPS, 24.5 is pretty fast, even more than what some top level riders go. I went with Eric Ruck last weekend and he went 24.0 behind a Tige RZ4.

That hull loves weight up front and you will find a better wake with a 60% placement up front.

just add more bow weight.

we run like 50/50 front to back .... some boats just need it

derek,
its just 1,000 in the back, 650 lbs as far forward in the front as i can get it.

i am aware of the spray pockets. what were they designed for? i have heard of people having them filled in. would that help any?

talltigeguy, i know about that very slight and only cosmetic wash you are talking about too. i am pretty sure i could never get rid of that and you are right, you can't feel it at all.

when i put that extra 560 up front in the walkway, i had high hopes, but i have just been riding without it. it was not all the way up front though. should i try that? that would be like 1,000 lbs in the back and 1,200 lbs up front.

The spray pockets are so the wake will roll over or wash out for slalom wakes. There are a few guys on tigeowners that have had that same boat dialed in. You might check there for help.

X2 on a 60% ft/40% rr weight split. What's your line length as well?

I have a 21 V (2001) and put 400 on each side of the motor and 600 in the walk. The Wake is outstanding! We ride at 23 (GPS confirmed) and 70-75 feet back, Taps on 4-5. ** Tip** This isn't anything too new, but I start with the TAPs @ 0 coming out of the hole and adjust to 4-5 on plane- it really helps the hole shot.

BTW- if you look at my profile pic - THAT IS NOT MY BOAT WAKE!

so the spray pockets were made to make it curl? wow, no wonder i can't get rid of it. i ride at 70 feet mostly, sometimes 75 and when i do ride unweighted, i start out with the taps at like 1 and then increase it when on plane.

i think i will go to tigeowners.com and look there.
