If you can't get an 08 out of the showroom for thousands below MSRP you've got some negotiating problems. I'd say 45k is only horseshoes away from new.

My buddy just got a price of 52K out the door for a loaded 08 VLX. The 09s are on the way and the dealer has a bunch of 08s taking up space.

the only thing is the hours on this boat, everything else is practically brand new. And the price is workable

Yeah I sell them and I have to say even with those upgrades this time of year I would say any dealer would get real close to that. Its really gonna hurt you when the 09 comes out you better get right on it quick or you will be pimpin it another season.
