No problem, good stuff all the way around. Good thing we didn't start out with 13, we would have no where to go!
It's been fun for all involved, that's the main thing. Thanks so much for helping with your boat Lauri and Bill for his boat. One thing is certain, we need the help to pick up riders to keep it safe for all involved--chase boats are a must.
I really think we can get 10 next year. In 06 the 9 popped right out of the water, quickly! This year was tougher, I think becuase of overall weight... we had more adult riders and our boat was heavier (X2 vs X1 w/same engine). I would like to pull the 10 evening of the fireworks display in '09--if we can get the right crew together that evening. fyi Lauri... We'll be there a week earlier next year as the cabins were full first two weeks in July.
Question for Danny, I was thinking 4 from the pylon, 3 from each eye hook. What do you think? We had no problem with the eye hooks at 3 each this year. The new X2 pylon does not extend all the way to the boat floor which was a concern for strength, although probably unwarranted.
Would like to see what the other big pulls out there look like if you guys have pics. I'm uploading (I think) pics from our '05 (7 people) and '06 (8 people) pulls so you can see our progression compared to this year. You can see all the different ropes we used in '05--that wasn't so bad with only 7. The harness' were a must keeping things organized this year when we had someone fall in the beginning (keeping it all straight) & it's nice keeping everyone at relatively the same length.
Wish we could make it back again this year!
