Damn that sucks, I'd love to ride today but I've got to work until almost four. How is Lanier looking now? I was on a friends houseboat a few weeks ago and it looked real bad.

Being a flake is a pre-requisite to being a third. If they weren't flakes, they'd have figured out a way to buy their own boats by now!!

Seriously.... We've all been through it before. It's a major bummer. Start building your phone directory. You'll have back up riders in no-time.

Too funny Cal. Anyways, I know at least myself and my roommate are always down for riding on Lanier. He sould be putting his X2 back in within the next few weeks, you usually ride on weekdays like this or more often on the weekends?

My crew changes every year. It's kind of sad really. People come in and out of our livs on a regular basis. The chapters just keep on being written. But on a fun note..do you realize in just about a month from now it will be May? Man I am getting excited. Bring on the sunny weather baby

Ga law states to legally pull a skier one must have at all times an observer OR a CIPA mirror. Call me material person, but me and my significant other have enjoyed the mirror way better than waiting on friends.

I really like Kal's idea. quick and effective. Who would drive? whoever wants to see some skin! Craig, Texas too. Honestly the best plan. Cuts the BS in half. (Message edited by denverd1 on March 26, 2008)

True Dat! Nothing like getting all jazzed up to go riding and have someone back out! I generally have my wife as 2nd.. but when the 3rd backs out, IT SUCKS! I gotta find someone like the strippers that just want to tan! but, also need the gas$

I have been down the route of flaky thirds, or they tell you they will be there in 5, so you start getting the boat ready and end up waiting 30-45 minutes cause they had to shower, then shave, then go by the store to get drinks/snacks, then by the gas station to fill up their truck. They also suddenly have to be somewhere right after we are done so they can't hang around to help clean the boat, and will "catch you next time" on gas money. Thankfully I don't ride with that type of crew anymore. For about 2 years my 2nd and 3rd were my parents, man that was fun. B Webb... you invite me out and I promise I'll be there, early, with gas money. Owning a boat I know the frustration.

We don't get too many flakes here in Dallas. They would be called out very quick on our website if so. We have an abundance of riders at all times!!! Which is a good thing for the guys with the boat payments!

Geez, I'd love to go riding today too. But our lakes are still frozen here, and probably will still be for the next two months. Lighten up dude, there are riders in worse situations than you are in!
