So this is pry a stupid question but what do the pros use for a wood on their sliders? I see all these videos like counterfeit this and the truth and stuff of these pros sliding what looks like regular wood but I tried sliding some 2 x 4's put together and my board kept sticking on it and pulling me down. Yes I wetted it down. So.. what is it?

the wood stuff is called trex decking. its a composite material that is mixed wood and plastic.

Trex or any other composite decking material works well.

Id recommend hsdp? hdsp? something like that. basically the thick plasic that tsr uses. trex is ok, but generates a lot of friction, it will ruin your board fairly quickly, and it burns the skin if you fall on it. I have a scar from my slider topped with trex.

I like the friction, it makes it easier to control the slide imo. It does mess up your board more though.

HDPE (high density poly ethelene (sp)).

Also, if you go to home depot you can get bender board (or lawn curb) that is VERY similar to trex, but thinner and a whole lot lighter.

I would also check out Ecoform. It's basically 20-foot 2x10's (or whatever width you need) coated in plastic. It's used for concrete forms, but I've seen it used for sliders and it seems to be a lot cheaper than other alternatives. I believe the piece I described above went for less than $30. The only problem is that it can be hard to find. Home Depot can get it, but they want you to order a minimum of 10 pieces. Check out the website at http://www.ecoform1.com.
