i'm in my last year at Louisiana State University and i have been really interested in moving to the bay area. right now i am an Apple campus rep and if i play my cards right, i could very well jump in on the corporate level and make the move to California. what ever direction i choose, whether it's with Apple or a career in the action sports industry, i would like to live outside of my roots and living on the west coast has definitely been on my mind lately.

i've been doing my research and i am anxious to know what the wakeboarding scene is like in san fransisco/cupertino and the nor cal area. such as how big the rider base is and what rivers/lakes there are to ride on. any information would be awesome....

thanks y'all!

The wake scene out here is great! Apple is a litle bit of a hike its a solid 1+ to get to the delta. This site has a huge local following of delta riders. I've met some great people on this site and have been a third or many boats/ offered up a seat on mine. I typically ride 2 days a week and we can ride well into October.

Like norcalmalibu said the wake scene is mostly revolves around the delta in nor-cal. The further away from the bay area(SF) you live the cheaper houses get so if you would rather commute and hour or so to work you can live in places like Discovery bay or Brentwood and be right next to the delta and houses are about 1/2 the price. For example a friend just bought a newer 3200sqft house in a gated community in Discovery Bay for around $320k. If you want to invest $350 in a dry suit like me and my friends did this year you can ride all year round
