Hey guys, I'm looking for some opinion on what some other people might do in this situation.

The boat is a 2003 Centurion avalanche. After an incident we had last season, we needed to have the v-drive replaced. Long story short, after taking it for a lake test, we found that the wrong v-drive was installed. It was a 1-1 ratio and a 1.46-1 was installed.

Not getting in to whose fault or anything, centurion recommends changing the prop from a changing the prop to a 13x17.5(497) from our 13x11(525) to solve the problem instead of swapping out the v-drive.

It seems like if this works, it works right? What is everyones take on this?
