Which binding is better, the open or closed toe binding? I've never used the closed toes so I have no clue! Im getting new bindings this spring so I want to make a wise buy!!!!

I love the closed toe. I have the 06 shanes and have much more leverage on my heelside edge. They also keep your feet warm.

Do they jam your toes when you land in the flats? I know with the open toes I sometimes land so hard that my toes slip out the front and that makes a painful ride.

Its all personal preference, but I feel the trend is going toward closed toes. I ride Zeus, though, which are open, and have no complaints.

I tighten down my shanes a lot so theyre tight around my foot and my feet dont slide forward at all.

I also love the closed toe and will never go back... I rode the murrays last season and will get the ones this season closed toe is the way to go keeps your feet warm in cold water like colin said and they deff make your board look sweet

watsons are stiffer and higher and the shanes are more flexable and lower cut.

they both have soft footbeds. what is your style? Do you like real stiff bindings with quick response or do you like flexible bindings to tweak out grabs?

they are freakin comfy...atleast the 06s are but i bet the 07s will be equally comfortable. If you decide to get them you will love them.
