I have an 05 VLX without a bow ballast tank. I am looking for a sack/weight i can use that will give me enough weight to bring the nose of the boat down a bit. How much weight do i need? Is there anything that will fit in the bow walkway without comprimising seating?? Any answers out there???

I have and 05 VLX with the bow tank 350lbs and I add a 500lbs sack. You need it!

Yes, agree 100% with Chuck, new VLX loves weight in the nose. You definitely need to get some (a lot of) weight up there.

What does more bow weight do to the wake?

Cleans up the wake and keeps the bow down.

I've got the bow tank, but I'm also adding Pop Bags to the front. Here are some pics of three Pop Bags (120 lbs) jammed into the extra deep side pockets of our 2006 VLX. As you can see, I can add at least two more for a total of five on each side. The total added weight will be 400 lbs and none of it will be in the way. :-)

Can you trailer with that additional weight in the nose? What does it do to the tounge weight on the truck?

My plan it to pull the two exposed bags (not pictured) out and set them in the back of the boat (behind the trailer wheels) when trailering. Otherwise, that another 400 lbs on the tongue.

What are Pop Bags and where can you buy them?
