dave - i've heard Lake Wallenpaupack in the poconos might be a good place to go but I haven't been there yet.

No problem. Also check out these places in new york if you ever want to take a weekend trip. Greenwood Lake & Lake George NY.

greenwood lake is farther north than hopatcong, right over the border of north jersey. Take a vacation and go to the adirondacks at Lake George. It's the best longest, cleanest lake in the northeast.

Dave, we usually run on the Delaware River out of Trenton NJ, Sundays can get a bit busy but there is plenty of deep water to run in. It takes us about 40 minutes to get to the ramp from Doylestown, so you have to figure your tip would be about the same or less.

I have never been to the delaware river but i hear there are some spots you have to watch out for or your going to need a new prop.

Mango, yes most of the areas above Trenton can get a little dicey. Trenton and below is channeled and tidal, usually no less then 20’ deep between the buoys at low tide.

Maybe the Chesapeake bay or the Potomic river in the Maryland/Virginia area.

i live on Wallenpaupack and work at The Boat Shop which is one of the marinas on the lake. It is great, but the weekends are really too busy unless you are willing to get up early.

I live in Gettysburg and the Ches. bay is very choppy unless you go up one of the tribs early in the morning....Don't know if you have ever been to Raystown Lake or not but that place is great! The lake is between Harrisburg and Pittsburg! From my house it is about 2 1/2 hours so from yours I would think around 5ish????????
