Just seeing what you guys think about the helmets out there. Im thinking of getting one so i can get some of the fear out trying new tricks (and so the falls don't hurt as bad). got a 6 7/8 - 7 if that helps.

I just got a pro-tec this season and I love it. Works great and even protects your ears!

I would get a Pro Tec they been in the helmet game for years. They are now owned by Vans so the customer service is amazing.

I like my Protec, fits well, only problem I've had with it is I didn't realise the ear flaps are only attached by snaps, so I lost one...

Pro-Tec B2 or Classic Skate (Both with normal skate pads not the wake editions) They fit around your head so well and hold up for years.

Protec here as well. The article mentioned above is good info but very generalized. I prefer to listen to real experience from myself and others. Who was the kid that split his head open good on a piece of wood floating on the surface or just below the surface at the Delta? I remember the pic of all the staples. Can't tell me a helmet wouldn't of kept his head from being split open. I've taken many headslaps that would always ring my bell good without a helmet but with one, nothing. Make sure the helmet fits properly. Fit is very important to how well it will work. Bottom line is no safety equipment is 100%. Seat belts, roll bars, cages, parachutes, nothing. It's all a game of odds and bottom line is your odds are much, much better when using all the safety gear available to you. Happy riding.
