I may have to mount my tower speaker on the top of my tower bars instead of below due to my bimini. Does anyone have any pics of that install? Don't want it to look like Mickey Mouse...

If you mount on top I don't understand how you will keep the rope out of them.

TY, It might be a matter of which speakers you are considering mounting "Up Top" as some definetly would look rediculous. I have a few customers that have mounted "up top" and have not had issues with the rope. Again, it will probably be dependent on the speaker you are considering. Good luck, Duane www.nvs1.net

looking at the loud liquid 6x9 cans. they would be mounted on the tower behind the rope spool. I have seen a lot of people mount them there but not sure if i want to go that route.

I have my LL mounted on top. I am 6'4" and kept knocking them and my head around pretty hard. It looks decent, just flip over the emblems.

Teddy, How would the rope get tangled in them? Well on my FCT. You would have to have the line perpendicular to the boat to even think of hitting speakers if they were up there. And I dont know why anyone would be that far out

Luis, what do you do when a rider falls? go to the end of the lake and then take a nice wide turn, then go back to get them?

Well usually when a rider falls we have a chick or someone else who gets the rope. Since we usually board in very narrow busy waterways. Still cant see how it would get tangled. Seems like to me. It has a better chance of catching the boards on the board racks. I will take a good look next time. See what happens to the rope if I turn really sharp.

??someone jumps up everytime anyone falls?? You guys are either really good and dont fall much or have some dedicated rope girls. A day on the boat is supposed to also be relaxing when not boarding, not up--down--up--down--up--no wait he didnt fall

the new x-star bimini is in the perfect position, you have to be over 6 feet tall to hit it when you stand under it.

TY I am good! How have You been? Mac, It was custom made by a local shop, paid for by My dealer. I had it made a little bigger which left no room for speakers to be mounted underneath. If You are interested I could find the phone number. John

Keep in mind your anchor light will need to be taller than anything else on your boat. Adding speakers to the tower almost certainly means your light will be too short.

(At least in Texas) the anchor light doesn't have to be the tallest thing on the boat but does have to be visible from 360 degrees. My speakers were obstructing my light and the cop hassled me about it, but that was on the 4th of July weekend and they were all over everybody.

My buddy had peakers mounted on top, someone else driving the boat, ripped the speaker off on take off and landed on someones ankles. Dont mount it on top, adjust your bimini. That 6 speaker system on top of the tower above looks silly! No offense but I can understand why its soon to be for sale. I would rather not have a bimini than have to worry about someone else dealing with pulling my speaker down when the rope gets rapped around it. Give it time, it will happen. I mounted my second set of speakers down the side of my tower, I still havent modified my bimini to fit in the tower yet though. www.discountpoolcare.com/nautique/index.htm

Ty, I added a third and fourth board rack to My tower, they catch the rope sometimes. If You put them on the side is that going to interfere with Your board rack? Most of the time I only use 3 racks, The surfer takes up one rack by itself. You wont be able to add any more if You want to later.
