Hi, guys i am a new owner of a VLX 08.
I have some difficulties to set up my preset for the name and spped its ok but how i dot for the ballast and wedge did i have to manually fill them and adjust the wedge how i want it and after that go to my preset and save preset ??

Other question why my cruise control sometimes dont work 1 time out of 5 when i go to pick up the rider that fall i talk to him, i dont touch the ignition or nothing i dont touch the cruise either. I start when on the speed i heard the beep it show engage but the spped continue to raise till i drop the throttle ?

If it is a early model 08 model you need a new MMDC. Turn the key to the off position, hold the E button on the cruise and while holding it turn the key to the on position let it come on then let go of the E button, in the upper left hand corner it will give you a code if it is not 00020 you need a new updated MMDC.
