Yeah, stay away from flatlines. I have always preferred the ARC series ARC 15 and it work nicely in a small 2 cf box. Overall I have had excellent performance and sound when using the JL Audio 13w6v2.

It plugs right in. It's not a volume or bass control, it's a remote gain. You'll still set your amp gains at the amp and with this you'll can go up to your set gain. (works like volume knob)
