Alternator questions

I own a 2000 Malibu VLX, and the alternator is dead. I have a dbelectrical alternator 135A, been sitting on my bench for a long time. Wondering if I can install that? I understand it is a lot bigger...

Well I missed out it sold. But heard from the Malibu dealer that I can't add it too my 2000 Wakesetter. Something about the way the motor is mounted and it will be in the way with the lower pulley...
