ya the rtp mcx and the ly-6 all have pretty close to the same low end torque if you reprop you will be fine. Lets face facts most of us dont need over 4000 pounds of wieght in are boats.

I have the smallest engine in my 07 xstar the 310 hp I reproped and run 4500 pounds and have had no issues the rtp motor has gave me no problems, and the x star is the best looking boat on the water....

buy a xstar you will not have anything bad to say about a 06 and up xstar you can pick one up for about 45 k right now with the repo situation. there is now other boat out there like a newer x star...
