I assume it would be ok.. but wanted the Gods of WW approval... Right now I am running the stock 13.5x17 on my 04 X2 .. looking for a backup and found a 14x20 .. Would there be any problems? FWIW.. I just run with stock ballast... mix of wakeboarding..kneeboard and pullin the boys on the tube... I assume I would lose some bottom end but wanted everyones input..

That would be a bad prop in my oppion unless you have a 8.1, which I doubt. Then again it depends on what you feel acceptible with. Most people with that boat and the rtp1 or mcx feel the 13.5x17 is to high of a pitch and go the other way. Some did run a 13.5 x 19 though and could give you more concrete info.

Boat has the mcx.. it would only be a backup because where I live it would be impossible to find a prop if I damaged it while out on the lake.. I can get it for 100$.. I know its not the perfect choice but was wondering if it would get me by in a bind.

Technically you can run that prop.
BUT I don't see yo being happy with it.

it would get you thru a weekend or an afternoon if you had to.

With the higher pitch it would lose bottom end and holeshot... but gain top mph right?

1boarder_kevin 03-17-2008 3:06 PM

if the motor can spin it

Yeah a 20 pitch is way too high.

Thanks guys.... I will just keep looking... kinda hard to find a MC prop because they are splined. much less a good deal on one

there's an acme 537 floating around somewhere. it was cheap if i remember. good backup

for $100 you could always buy it and have it repitched. You should still be in it for less then $200 unless repitching costs a lot more than it used to.

denverd1 03-18-2008 9:00 AM

that a lot of pitch to take out, but Its an option. i think you could find a better prop for the money.
