That is correct, counter acts the prop rotation to make the boat go straight.

(I think) he is talking about the strut is offset a little. You can tell if you are looking up at the bottom of the boat. <BR> <BR>Apparently hooked on Phonics didn't work for him. <BR>

It probably does counteract the prop rotation some, but i think the chief reason is so you can pull the driveshaft without removing the rudder. <BR> <BR>DKJ
