Just seeing if anyone has some "use this" or "don't use this" advice for patching a fat sac. The hole is about 1/4 inch in diam. Thanks in advance

Don't they come with a patch kit?

A water bed patch kit should work, or a bicycle tyre patch. Scuff up the surface and the back of the patch a little bit with some sandpaper and make sure it is dry before you glue the patch on.

(Message edited by Jtnz on February 13, 2008)

Austin,

I went to a pool supply store and asked for a pool patch (use their glue too, it actually works even BETTER underwater, so wetness isn't an issue)... works PERFECTLY.

Thanks Brian, sounds good to me.

Brandon, you're probably right, but mine are ancient and if they did come with one it's gone now.

I used a patch I had laying around from a tube and Amazing Goop on mine. It worked really well.

Shoe Goo is pretty good stuff to create a patch in of itself(if the hole isn't massive). 'course an extra piece of rubber helps too ;)
