yeah - as the above posts state - all good sites on the MC forum.... I too lost mine on my 06 x1 and it was a piece of cake to replace it. The biggest problem is finding the replacement hose.... good luck

Do everything in your power to not disconnect the hose from the top of the fuel pump module, and do not ruin the hose. The hose is a bizarre hose because one end is 1/4 and the other end is 3/8. The top end is the 1/4 inch end.

There is not another hose in the universe that is that size and is meant for in the tank use. In a pinch on the 4th of july, I used regular 1/4 inch fuel line and was able to stretch it out over the fuel pump fitting. But as is mentioned in one of those threads, that hose will degrade over time unless it is meant for in the tank use. Mine was starting to split and had a sticky feel to it when I removed it, indicating it was breaking down. I did leave it in there for over a month before I replaced it. I guess I like to live on the edge.

The problem I found was that I could not find a 1/4 inch hose clamp in my entire city despite 2 hours of shopping every place I can imagine. I finally ended up putting a brass fitting around it and then clamping that down.

It shouldn't be that hard to find a hose clamp. Maybe this will help you guys in the future but Breeze is a hose clamp company and their 7/32 SS clamps are part numbers are 3504 and 3604. Their next size up is 7/16 I think and those part numbers are 3506 and 3606.

Thanks Brett. It was the typical situation where I had a few spare hours to get the job done and the next time I had available, I wanted the boat to be working, and did not want to wait for shipping. As is typical for me, I had the module apart before I realized the hose clamps I had were too small.
