How did WakeNation make it happen in the spring of 2009?

I think wakenation got it done in time to avoid the new powers of the epa. They just got real authority this past july. No balance to the system. What they say goes.

Scott - you have done all the research on this. In your opinion is this a bump in the road or a road block all together for Michigan's first cable park? <BR> <BR> If this is a bump in the road. is there something that we can do to help?

Just got a ton of cash from an investor....yes. major expansion from the start. Gonna go with grand theme instead of smaller scale. Exciting new ground breaking technology coming. Nothing u have ever seen before. Interviews will start in february. Now to get past permit crap. But money talks. We shall see.

Scott - When will you be rolling out the theme? sounds interesting.

Meet with EPA dudes Monday. Reading the packet they sent me. Starting to look doubtful. At least for this location. Cross your fingers. I want to start getting the piers poured in March. I hope there is no delays. I will post Monday night.

Difficulty getting the permits needed for the location we were going for. EPA shut us down with all the beauracratic crap. Investors grew tired and figured the money was not worth that property with what we have to go through. Good news is...we have a new location...great people we are working with. Investors are excited about it. So it is still on..just a different location. Bigger body of water....great docking area...and plenty big for docks between runs. Looks like we will have 5 to 6 runs total. Bad news is...we are not going to open until August...if we are lucky. Because we are starting the process almost complety over.

Can you disclose the new location? You say 5-6 runs total, this might sounds silly but what are runs? big docks? great docking area? totally confused.

5 to 6 cable loops. With docks between runs. More access to walk back to staging area. New location....investors want me to keep it confidential until we get the approvals for the purchase. The old site was Charlotte @ the old G&amp;L ski school. All I can say is the new local is off I-96. It is a better location with more h2o to surface. Stay tuned. We are on a fast track for approvals to get this running this year. Intamin has the design completed. We will be open year around. Winter runs will be happening. I will explain later...

Thx ben....let's just say u r the close. Remember this is a new system co developed by Intamin. It is going to be awesome. Standard start left foot forward......lots of sliders and kickers. One kicker we are calling Mt. Everest.. location is perfect and access will be easy.

My buddy lives right on that lake in GR. He called me a few days ago to tell me that they were putting it in. I'll be makin the trip over for sure!!

Yeah Placid Wake Park was announced this week at the boat show. Alot more info will be coming in the next couple weeks.
