2020 Wake Park WorldsThe 2020 Wakepark World Championship was held at the Valdosta Wake Compound after a last minute location change. The event was socially distanced, but that didn't stop the riders in all categories from throwing down their best tricks.
 
After three days of intense competition, Guenther Oka ended up taking home the double gold trophies in the Pro Men Obstacles and Pro Men Traditional categories.

2020 Wake Park WorldsWW: What place did you take at this WWA Wakepark Worlds and which divisions?
GO: First place Pro Men Traditional and first place Pro Men Features.
 
WW: How was this year's WWA Worlds different than last year's?
GO: With Worlds being hosted at Valdosta, it changed everything. The park is so unique, along with every feature there, so it made the riding much more technical and opened new creative lines for all the fields.
 
WW: How do you think Valdosta Wake Compound managed to host the event?
GO: VWC crushed it!! They busted their asses off to make sure the rails were in place and safe, and also operating all day long when they could have been riding instead. It really showed their dedication to the sport and how much they love it.
 
2020 Wake Park WorldsWW: What were some of your most memorable moments from the weekend?
GO: Memorable moments was watching the groms ripping! They're the future of the sport and it was sick to see where their heads are at.
 
WW: Biggest crash you remember seeing?
GO: Woody White took a real nice shiner on the L rail going for a first try transfer! Haha!
 
WW: Biggest send you remember seeing?
GO: Trent or Gavin Stuckey just charging every rail.
 
WW: Hardest thing about the course?
GO: That back line was real tricky. So many rails with a lot of different changes in tension.
 
2020 Wake Park WorldsWW: Biggest surprise of the event?
GO: Ethan Weaver stomping a toe back 10 like it was nothing and Trent Stuckey busting the ole toe back 10 right off the dock in the finals.
 
WW: Favorite obstacle to session out there?
GO: Firecracker
 
WW: Any plans to prepare for the next Wake Park Worlds?
GO: Nope
