Busy, busy, busy. That's how you describe August in the wakeboarding industry. Some of that comes from all the activity generated with the WakeWorld Riders Choice Awards presented by CWB Board Co. 2013 Was an incredible year for our 13th annual visit to the voting booth. You, the riders, got more involved than ever before and we thank you for your efforts!

So what do the results look like for 2013? Some things changed and some things stayed the same. Be sure to click on each category to see who took top honors and who got close, but no cigar.

Most Improved and Rookie of the Year - Mike DowdyThe Top Male Wakeboarders stayed the same as far as the top two positions for the third year in a row, but there was some movement after that. Harley Clifford enjoys his fourth year at the top of the rankings with Phil Soven maintaining his second place standing. Newcomers to the top ten include Mike Dowdy (#7), Shota Tezuka (#9) and Daniel Grant (#10), forcing out mainstay Danny Harf along with Steel Lafferty and Dean Smith.

In the Top Female Wakeboarders category, the #1 spot has changed yet again with Amber Wing topping the lineup and Dallas Friday falling a spot to #2. Our lone newcomer to the top five is Emily Durham, who returns after a one-year hiatus.

In the Top Wakeskaters category, we have Reed Hansen holding on to the top spot for the third year in a row. Although the entire top five got shuffled around a bit, they are the same guys that filled out the top of the rankings in 2012

Triple winner Mike Dowdy not only showed up in the Top Male Wakeboarders category for the first time, but he also picked up a Rail Rider of the Year - Raphael Deromepiece of glass with Rookie of the Year etched on it and completed the hat trick when he grabbed the Most Improved Rider award for the second year in a row.

In the third year of our two new rider categories, Raphael Derome proved that he's the man on the rails by picking up his third Rail Rider of the Year trophy. Meanwhile, Daniel Grant knocked the King of Cable, Tom Fooshee, off his throne by winning his first Cable Rider of the Year award.

Shifting from riders to products, this year's Wakeboard of the Year remains in the hands of the most popular name in the Riders Choice Awards for 2013 with the Liquid Force Harley. The Binding of the Year category also went to the Liquid Force Harley, so, in a way, Harley is a triple winner as well. Reed Hansen's pro model, the Ronix Boomstick stayed at the top of the at the Wakeskate of the Year category. Finally, CWB Board Co. made its first appearance at the top Wakeskater of the Year - Reed Hansenof the podium in our Wakesurf Board of the Year category with their Razr model receiving top honors.

In only its second year, the Super Air Nautique G23 clawed its way to the top of the Boat of the Year category with the MasterCraft X-Star dropping from the #1 position. Nautique also dominated the Innovation of the Year category with the most votes for their Nautique Surf System.

Finally, we get to our two video cateogries...or should I say one video category. Our Video of the Year category has traditionally been for full-length DVD releases, but this year there were no DVD releases, so there was no winner in this category. Has the Internet finally killed off DVD's or is this just a temporary lull. The Web Video of the Year went to the most impressive video found on the Interweb and for the second year in a row it goes to Breddas with their latest release, One Shot.

Be sure to click on the links below to see the full results for every category and jump on the links at the top of each page if you want to see the Riders Choice Awards for the previous years. Thanks to everybody that submitted a vote and to all the sponsors that provided such great prizes!
