The latex arm and leg seals on my O'neill Boost drysuit started fraying last year so I bought replacement seals and Gear Aid contact cement to fix it.*
*I just replaced them yesterday, as the winter season is coming up. I think everything went well during the replacement, but I tested it in the pool today, and it was a complete failure!
I THINK the latex seals themselves may be fine, but I was wet in ALOT of other places. It seems like it may have started leaking from the taped seals now? Seal damage is not immediately apparent, though.
I bought suit tape from Amazon that I can use to try and go over the existing tape. I'm not sure if that is how you fix it though?
Attached pictures are the wet spots.
I am willing to try to fix it if it is reasonably possible, since a new suit is $600. But if it's starting to leak everywhere I'm wonder if it is a lost cause and I will just be chasing leaks. The suit it 10 years old. I wore it a lot in the first 3 years or so and maybe twice a year since then. I'm still only planning on wearing it a few times a year right now as my kids are still young, which makes the replacement cost feel a lot worse!
(I called and O'neill no longer repairs their dry suits)
