Evan, HAHHAHA - so true. In all honesty, any boat is a blessing, some more in disguise than others but being out on the water with your friends is irreplacable. btw - I think I have some old shots of the Sanger with orange vests in action - LOL

Old skool Jeff Heer board, late 90's I think, and we may have been riding with about a dozen sand buckets in my old Prostar 190 at the time. Nice post idea, wish I had more pics.

Here's one from 1996. Sweet HO Shapiro with sandals and stretchy rope. Oh and I'm wearing gloves. Sick.

How's this for old... This is my family's 1971 Glastron (I wasn't born yet) Here's me camping at Whiskytown Lake and keeping the boat clean. My brother now has custody of that boat. It still runs... most of the time.

Renee, that Glastron rocks! I had to get rid of the 1975 Glastron when we got our first Malibu! My dad bought it in 1976 and we used that thing for over 20 years! Of course, here I am in the family's first boat. All I remember is that we always had to bail water out of the back! Although my first wakeboard ride was on an actual Skurfer, this old HO Hyperlite provided the first photographic evidence! I saw this very board still hanging in my buddy's garage the other day! And then there's the Liquid Force Free 145 with High Suction bindings. My first board purchase!

And ya wanna know the really funny thing??? When Tate and I were thinking of buying a boat, I didn't know anything about wakeboard boats or wakeboarding for that matter. I wanted another Glastron. I DID NOT want one of those boats with the ugly towers! And look at us now. Can't get enough of wakeboarding and LOVE my Sanger w/ tower!

Shortly there after I gave up my attempt at 3 event for The Darkside. 92 maybe. Got to love those old ropes. 93 maybe? Dayjob back in 94? Just another attempt to get better behind the boat. And another great way to learn about the relationship between water and pain. Who knew what it would lead too?

lol hahaha glastron.....My dad had a 1975 or so glitter orange Glastron with a Mercury 175 hp outboard motor. I used to be scared of the motor. I thought it looked like DARTH VADER! lol I learned to waterski behind it at 5 years old at Lake Tahoe where we used to have a cabin. I found one so far. I am the lil guy with my grandpa, one of my sisters, cousin, and another sister in the water. Brrrr Tahoe is cold. I dont know how I used to do it! (Message edited by zride on March 07, 2006)

Blabel, we've been riding about the same length of time, but you were better than me 10 years ago than I am now. That's more than a little depressing!

jeff- That's awesome. I should have been a polo player but I cant swim for nothin. Well unless theres a shark but thats a different story. Being a polo player you must have swam too. No? All our guys had to do both. When did you compete? By the way can I get some time on your boards...err...umm, you need a part time dive coach? You live pretty close to me. If you ever need a third or want be a third give me a shout. mbrown- Actually thats the Cuesta deck in SLO town. But I'd love to screw around at the foothill pool. I'm thinking about planning a boarders paradise weekend...surf on friday, wakeboard on saturday & snowboard on sunday! What do ya think.
