I'm looking to convert to the systems and you can get 2016 byerly binding for $85 but i noticed other models have the EVA foot pad. Is there anything special about later models that make them better than the 2016 byerly? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to get a later model for my first system setup. I'm Currently torn between 2019 murray boots, 2016 byerly haze, and 2018 process boots at the moment as well if anybody wants to put in their 2 cents. I ride boat almost exclusively. Attached pics are to show the binding pad

I've rode both. No difference. I actually prefer no foam, better connection with the board.
