Big thanks to Pete Twelker and crew for taking Chris and I out today. We had great conditions! Also out with a boatload, Chuck and Linda Payton. I think the water was around 55.
We should be able to cut through the ice in mid-April. Here is a picture of the lake next to my house. I think a see a couple of cracks in the ice already.
After a week on the East Coast, it was so nice to come home to a weekend on the Delta! A special thanks to the Payton family for their generous hospitality as well as the Twelker family for opening their warm home to eat a delicious dinner with family and friends... We had a great time!
As I was flip-flopping between our camera and the Payton's camera, I didn't have too many of Blake - sorry bud.
I like how 55 degree water calls for drysuits and gloves in CA. In OH, that's wetsuit, or maybe neo top, temperature. I'm just jealous cuz my lake is surely still frozen and it just started flurrying here as I type this.
Aww looks like you guys are having fun!! We went out yesterday and today. I'm pretty sore for my first time of the season. Chad, I'm so happy to see you on the water again!! I knew you would be back in no time! :] We might possibly be coming down to the delta next weekend, so we'll let you guys know for sure if we do.
