After having sat for 5 years then being 3 different owners project boat, my tige 22i roared to life yesterday. 750 dollars and a carb swap later she runs quite well. I still have to to shake down many miss wires from previous owners, but at least it runs. I will have sea trials on tuesday.

People that treat boats like that should be shot. Glad to see someone cares about bringing it back to life. Congrats.

there's something about the low freeboard tige's that make 'em sexy. don't worry about taking on water, just drive it right. good luck on your maiden voyage. is that tower parts on the floor? MC: tristar 220. She'll kick down 300 horsies in a few weeks!

I have a 600cfm and went to an 80 jet to keep my plugs cool. 97 Tige sbc. Stock was 70, or that's what was in mine anyway. (Message edited by olSkoolTige on March 10, 2008)

A 750cfm carb is way too big for all but the most aggressive small blocks (ie: Racing, drag, etc.). The motor won't be able to draw enough air to compensate and it will simply flood no matter how much you play with the jetting. Take it back and get a 600cfm (holley) or 625cfm (carter/weber) and it'll work perfectly.
