I have an 08 MB B52V23. My perfect pass was completely turning off while I was driving and then would just continuously beep. Very annoying. That was happening for the last three outings. Then on the last outing, my depth finder alarm would beep reading 3.5 ft. when I was in 140 ft. of water. Alarm would go off for 20-50 sec. and then it would read the correct depth. Didn't matter if I was moving or sitting still. Did this all weekend.
Dropped the boat off at the dealership yesterday, they replaced the perfect pass and left the depth finder. The guy working on my boat noticed that some of my stereo wires from my deck run by the control module which runs both the pp and depth finder. He recommended rerouting the wires to avoid any interference and see what happens.
Anybody have any other ideas on this?

Not sure what kind of paddle wheel assembly you have on your MB, but on my Supra the paddle wheel houses the depth finder transducer as well as speed and temperature. Just a guess, but if you're having trouble with both perhaps there is something wrong with the paddle wheel assembly?

I had a similar issue with my PP turning off and beeping all the time. It turned out to be a loose power wire.
