Lost my only key on my 2008 X 15. Can the dealer give me a replacement right away or does it need to be ordered? Any other options?

A new ignition cylinder is about $30.

If you are handy, probably a quick fix, if not, have the dealer do it for $$

I thought there were only like 3 or 4 different keys for all the mastercrafts? Like an A, B, C, and D? I thought I read that on here somewhere??

Yeah they only make like 4 different keys. As long as you can get your key code they can get you one cheap. The dealer should have each code for customers.

The code is usually stamped on the ignition cylinder somewhere. There really aren't that many keys. If you take it somewhere, sometimes they'll just try their keyring until they find the right one. It's usually faster than swapping the ignition cylinder.

Too bad there's more than one key. Back in the day, if you ever found yourself locked out of your Coleman camper, you could just walk around the campsite until you found someone else with a Coleman and borrow their key. There was only one key for them up until about 2004 or so. It was always quite a shock to people who didn't know.
