Very Nice David. That wake makes ALL the difference it's crazy! Hopefully we get a change to do it again soon! I'm still workin on getting the pics loaded where everyone can see them.
Thanks Josh, it's nice to be home, at least for a few days. Looks like you got some great water that day. I leave on Nov 5th for 5.5 weeks, let me know if any of you head out on the water before the 3rd.
You know when you have one of them sessions where it feels like everything came together? Well my last set was just that, it seemed damn perfect with grabs, inverts, wake jumps TS & HS, great water... My last hit was a huge HS FS 1 with what we were thinking was a slob grab but slob is on the front of the board. Thanks to David for "Try a HS FS 1 with a nose grab!" when he was bringing the rope back to me. Everybody rode great and is always a good time to get out with the Winter Crew. Dewey did get clowned with his wig on!!!
David ~~ Huge thanks for the pulls and the idea to get out.
Jason ~~ Thanks for the pics, I'm sure David got a few great pics of ya.

Reason: Shut the F%$K up!
Man was it a great day on the water! Nov. and almost 70 deg and flat as can be water. Chase was killin his TS and HS 3's and went for a Toe 5 that was almost perfect. David for some reason was killin the pop and from what I can tell he had one of his best sets of the season. You might even catch him with a pic going for that tail grab. I myself got in a few grabs that I have never done before, can't wait to see the pictures. Hurry your ass up David!
Shima ~~ David has brought up that's a Roast Beef Grab... Chicken salad is your front hand through the legs and the beef is your rear hand through the legs grabbing the heel edge. But yes the grab felt pretty damn good!
Hope the trip so far has been great for you and your team... Take it easy out there.
Actually, a RB is the same hand as a chicken salad, it just depends on the way you're grabbing it. You grab a RB with the rear hand with your palm in a normal position (wrist pointed up). A chicken salad is with the rear hand too but the arm is twisted so you grab the heel edge with the wrist pointed towards the board. Maybe the pic is playing tricks on my eye's but it looks to me that your wrist is twisted, pointing downward.
Still trying to get over the jet lag, just got on the ice today for the first time since the Dutch had their championships this weekend so we couldn't skate at all until today. Freaky Deeky Dutch!
All this roast beef / chicken salad discussion is making me hungry! I think your right though shima roast beef is palm up, basically a stalefish grab but between the legs instead of around the back leg. Either way that's a pretty legit looking grab

Matt ~~ Them pics were from last week. David still has a ton more to go through and post up. We had sunshine and smooth water to deal with, one of the best fall session yet!
Maybe we can get out another couple of times... That is all on the sun and temp though!
It is almost that time guys...I am new here and need some good people to ride with! I have a weighted Sanger V210 and the lakes are thawing... Anybody up for weekday sessions?
Victor ~~ Welcome to the Northern Hood Thread... I have Thur off if you want to try and work something out. Speaking of... **** I need to send my drysuit in for repair...
Willard's north marina thawed out a week and a half ago. Time to start checking the thread on a daily basis now
Vic, Welcome here! Where abouts are ya?
Another month till Im out on the water in da' boat! (boat comes out of storage when Im on my hitch up in Alaska) Did I mention Im tired of this cold shiat?
Knuckle ~~ WE MADE IT OUT... It was so nice we decided to dip the boat in and out 3 times! Didn't catch a water temp, but I know the engine temp was HOT!
Lets just say we found out how fast an impeller burns up when the raw water valve is closed
We also discovered that if your going to carry a spare impeller, it should be new with a gasket... not an old one that looked good when you change it years ago and subsequently dries out and is brittle as F from sitting in your glove box for 3 years
Side note... Dewey is MacGyver like at making gaskets with a pocket knife and discarded donut boxes from the dumpster!

Alright somebody get me a pocket knife, pen, 8 mm socket, broken gasket, alan wrench head, cardboard from that dumpster. DFTR drink your CL & David sit there and smoke your stoggie.
I am livin in Murray right now... DFTR Josh and I had a pretty sick weekend down in Powell. The wind made it pretty chilly and choppy, but we got in a good set!
Any of you guys ride this weekend? Also, it looks like I am off work this week. If we get some sunshine and anybody is down, lets do it!
LP was cold as hell but a good time! Watched some new B's get pretty wrecked, somebody dove in the cold water with their I Phone (victor), lots of laughs and good people. I should have a few pics to share, but like David says... I have 10 days!
Josh...that definitely wont be the last trip down there! It is only going to get warmer! I have to get that tantrum once I can ride and feel my hands at the same time!
I think the iPhone might have survived the swim... I am going to get a new screen on it tomorrow but it keeps ringing and I cant anser it! lol
Vic ~~ A few more "right" tips and you will nail the Tantrum. If that phone survives you need to put that up on Ebay for a water proof phone. It took a long swim to the tires and back.
hey guys, i just moved to SLC for the winter and i'm trying to see what the wake scene is like around here before i commit to the summer. any one ride around here? i don't have any of my gear but i'd be happy to bring my camera and snap pics and add weight. i'm down to ride whenever!
Is that the duck that crapped on my boat?? that thing is goin DOWN! WHO THE HELL FED THE DUCKS??
Mike; You up for some cold weather riding? I have this week/weekend off so let me know if you want to try to do a session! I just moved up here too and I have been having a hard time finding many people who want to brave the cold and ride!
Vic that is one of the ducks that somebody decided to feed... F'n thing just wont go away... Next time I suggest an air horn!
Matt ~~ Surf's up bra!
Mike ~~ Just keep at it, it's not easy being a pro boat whore like me... LMAO!
Plenty of people ride here and are good people, just respect their **** and you're good to go. Welcome to UT!
Victor ~~ Plan on not getting called in... We all know you're going to dump that **** in the water! Hope for good weather for you guys, good weather means I sell the hell out of auto glass
lol yeh they can't get ahold of me if I jump in the water with my phone in my pocket!!
My drysuit is shot, but I am down to throw on the wetsuit and ride if the weather is decent. I bought it off ebay unused with tags and it lasted one ride. I am getting water through the fabric part of it! damn!
Hey guys thanks for the warm welcome. I just got back into town from a brief stint in Eden, but I am ready to go whenever anyone else is. Like I said I don't have my **** out here yet but I'd be psyched just to get out and see some glass.
Victor- I'm from Vermont, Utah doesn't have cold enough weather to scare me away from a session! When are you thinking?
hey I just moved to the salt lake area for the job, wasn't sure if I'd be able to find people to ride with and glad to see that theres a scene around here.
I think I missed most the cold but if anyone is ever looking for a driver, a third, or just some weight in the boat I'm in! i got a drysuit withseals if that is a problem!
Hey Chris,
Welcome to the thread but this is the outdated one. Check the updated thread a few posts below so you still current on what guys are doing. Let's hook up to ride as soon as this weather gets it's act together!!
