When i went to place an order they could have gotten me a 2013 spec boat but it wouldn't have arrived until recently. Currently we are right in the middle of winter so it wouldn't have been much good until spring.

I think it's an interesting thread to a) see different occupations of people in our hobby (example - I didn't know there was a career for locomotive load planners!) b) see the age of said people and c) The priorities of everyone (financially). There's nothing wrong with going out and getting a 15 year loan on a boat, it's just what your priorities are!

Me-26 years old, a machinist, and I'm half owner with my father in law of a Machine Shop that makes oil field tools
My wife is an RN and 25
We bought our first house 2 years ago in our home town on the lake, I drive a 2006 Chevy 1/2 ton that's paid for and she has a 2010 Chevy 4x4 that's our tow rig.
Boat is a 2002 Moomba Kamberra that is our first boat
I have been blessed in a ton of ways from my father in law, who has taught me a ton, and my wife who believes in hard work!! Hard work goes a long way!!!
Don't have any pics of either truck, but you can kind of see mine in the last pic

My Dad bought a 1988 Ski Nautique brand new in 1988. That is the boat I learned to wakeboard on in 98.
My Dad started letting me take the boat out on my own in 2001. I eventually bought it from him for $8k in 2009. (Which was probably more than it was worth but was a fair price to me considering all the hours I put on it.)
In 2011 I purchased a 2000 Super Air Nautiquefor $19,500 cash. A Super Air is the only material thing I've ever really wanted so I guess I'm set for life.
I am an attorney of 5 years and made low six figures for the first time last year. I have a good group of friends that love wakeboarding as much as myself and so we share maintenance costs. I have never owned a truck or tow vehicle but my friends do. They can take my boat when they please and I can use their trucks when I please. Their have been a few minor issues along the way with people feeling like others weren't pulling their weight but overall it has been great. I'm very blessed to have such great friends.
What's fun to think about was how I contemplated buying a sweet pair of $40 board shorts in 2001 and worried about how it would affect my budget and now owning the coolest thing I could (and still can) think of ten years later.
Hard work pays off.

I'm 21 and a Signalman for a contractor on the railroad. No mortgage (yet) currently looking. Sacrificed keeping an older truck for a newer boat. It's a 98 Z71. With my work schedule I'm gone 8 days then home for five. So, I'd really never drive a new truck since I'm on the water every day I'm home. Boat is a 2007 Wakesetter 23LSV. Almost put 90 hours on her already this year!
The day I brought it home.

I'm a Canadian who had Chris Hansen (who I think is the current owner of the red 2001 in those pics) look at a sport nautique for me in Phoenix. We took a quick peek at your boat on the way out to Saguaro at the end of May. Congrats it's a beauty! Then I towed that Sport Nautique over 2000 miles all the way home. Enjoy that Super Air

I was getting frustrated with all the toys having issues at once and the work it was taking to get ready for the 4x4 Jamboree that I just went on this past weekend. But hearing my 7 year old go, "Daddy, please don't sell the Jeep" melted my heart. We had a blast on the Jamboree and did some hardcore trails and the Jeep handled everything like a boss.
And moments like this in the shadow of Mt Ranier are pretty awesome.
Although as far as cruising around on sunny days, the 10 second power top on the BMW tends to trump the Jeep. LOL. I guess I'm spoiled.

Words of advice....don't sell the Jeep! You'll just go buy another in a couple years. That's what I did.
BTW: Sweet looking Jeep!

I'm not sure how this turned into a random bragging session about everything that people possibly own? I will say each individual's career and spendable income matters a whole lot where you live and in my area housing averages 500k and up so people don't usually have those paid off at young ages.
But...since the topic is taking a momentary turn, I'll play along for the moment with one of my toys. Btw I'm 33 and a MRI Technologist, the wifey is an RN.

It's a Roof Top Tent that sleeps 3 comfortable and has a set up/break down time of 6 minutes. Great for extended runs off the paved road.
Back on topic.
I'm 21, in college, and completely broke. Although it must be noted that I have started my Malibu/Centurion/Supreme boat FUNd for a purchase in the coming years.

Oh, those great days of being a poor college student. I took my first loan (non-student loan) out ever when I was in college.....it was on a boat!

28 years old married with three beautiful daughters. I'm an operations manager for an industrial cleaning company. We bought our house 3 years ago, side access so that's where the boat lives. Success is all about hard work, dedication, and doing the right thing. I couldnt be happier with my life and my family. My job allows me to be 99% of the time and allows me to be there for all my kids school events.

28 years awesome, I am the territory rep for a small to medium sized lubricant company for our powersports division. ball SO hard.
Unmarried, but my girlfriend and I split most the living expenses. She does something for a large medical device company.
2003 Silverado SS - paid cash, I just have a thing for those trucks and had wanted one since they came out. 8 years later I finally bought one
2006 Wakesetter VLX - loan
2 properties - I won't glorify my second one like I know some have as an "investment property". I am upside down on it so it was converted to a rental. I will probably end up keeping it though. It will be paid off by the time I am 50. Will probably purchase more rentals in the future.
The house I live in is 4 bed, 3 bath, nice suburb in a culdesac.
2 dogs - Puggle and shih tzu - straight cash

Lets see, when I was 25, I was teaching and coaching 3 sports. My wife was a dietitian, we had no kids and one very stupid dog. Wow, what a 20 year flash back! Granted your boat was much nicer than ours! We had an I/O! (can I even say that here?)

I read an article in a trailer boat magazine last month that talked about boat buying, financing, etc. It stated that 92% of boat owners are over the age of 35. Apparently Wakeworld is a large part of the 8%...

I bought my first boat at 21. It was an I/o so that probably doesn't count.

I was 23 years old when we purchased our first boat.....22 years ago! It was a brand new 19' Century (no it wasn't wood. ) I/O. Pretty fancy boat and we paid $14k! Inflation on boats has been pretty steep the last 2 decades!

Damn 4 UA guys so far! If you looking to be able to buy a boat working in a blue collar trade, I'd say become a union plumber, pipefitter or HVAC/R service tech. I'm guessing you are a service tech if you work for trane Travis?

Graduated from Mississippi State University with a BA in Communications
Living in Burleson, TX (just south of Ft. Worth) these days
Wife is a 29 y.o. Veterinarian for one of the more prominent vet clinics in South Arlington
No kids, 2 boxers and 2 english bulldogs that probably get treated better than most people's human kids, lol
Pretty good savings, good 401K already going, and now looking at buying into the wife's practice. Hoping/planning on retiring by 55, and it's looking pretty promising right now, maybe even a bit earlier than that
My Toys:
2012 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins Megacab Dually 4x4 (financed, but got a smoking good deal thanks to my employer discount, and will not be getting rid of it anytime soon)
2010 Tahoe LT2 for the wife (financed, but will be paid off in the very near future)
2004 VW GTI VR6 (paid off, commuter for work since I have a 9 hour drive one way)
2013 Tige RZ4 (financed about 60% after trading in old boat)
3BR/3BA 2400 sq. ft. house built in 2005
