I would say Hyperlite or LF has the best overall teams. The two best contest riders are on Ronix, Parks and Danny.

I would give style to team LF, up and comers to the CWB crew. They seem to get exposure for some younger and more unknown riders.

Hype, O'Brien, and Ronix are all pretty even now for contest ability. O'Brien: Watkins, Sanders, and Dallas. Daniel and Josh both give Harf and Parks a run for their money. In 2006 they ruled. Hype: Rusty (Nothing more to say) Also JD, Rathy, and Murray. Shaun has proven that he is still there to win. Ronix: Harf and Parks. Again...needs no explanation.

Shaun Murray brings more to the table than anyone. He may not have been on the poduim alot lately but he is so personable. I think he makes hyperlite's team the best.

It would be cool if they had team competition on the tour. Each board company could have 4 or 5 pro men, 1 Jr men and 1 pro woman. Or use your whole A team and take the top 5 scores. Except Pro men should count for more than Jr Men. First place in Jr men should not be as much as first place in Pro Men, so maybe they get 1/2 points.

I think a MFG competition would be awesome. Boards or Boats or both would be cool. Pro and otherwise.

Kind of like the team challenge back in the day. Didn't WakeMag put that on? I remember it as one of the first "freeride" comps to come around.

its hard to match LF's style, with shane's rail technique, lyman's general hugeness, an soven s technical laundry list of tricks. ive met webb, rathy, and murray and they are all class acts, so hyperlite takes personality, and Ronix takes the podiums definantly.

Come on Dave. Let's do it. Let's track the teams for the PWT. Board and boats. A rider can score points for both. Use the same points they get for placement- 100 for 1st, 90 for 2nd, etc. They are listed in the rule book on PWT site. Men only since women are only at 2 stops. Take the top 5 scores for each team. Track each stop and season totals. Think how much fun it would be watching the CWBs agonizing when Hyperlite Team beats them.

So last week would have looked like this from the final 12 riders Hyperlite- 310 pts Murray-85 Malinoski-80 Hair-75 Webb-70 Liquid Force- 240 points Soven-100 Bonifay-70 Watson-70 CWB- 150 points Hanson- 75 Adkinson-75 Ronix- 90 Errington-90 points Just an example. You would go back and take 5 riders scores from each team. Would you count Hair? He rides Hyperlite but I don't think he is on the national team.

Also on the Hyperlite National team,, jacob valdez with 100 more points for HO! I also am partial to the Quiksilver team of Ben Greenwood, Colin Harrington, Jeff House and Jacob Valdez, and the newest member, Vandall, pretty good team!!

I meant Hair wasn't on A team not national. I only included pros cause we were talking about pro tour and only pros ride there. Jacob did smoke the boy's division. I also made a mistake in the calculations. Bonifay, Watson and Webb only scored 51 points for 9th place, I gave them 6th place points. That gives Hyperlite 291 and LF 202. Watkins scored 75 for OBrien.

Hyperlite's up and comers are going to be amazing with Valdez and Jimmy LaRiche. Jimmy next to Rusty just might be the most talented rider on hyperlite's team. On the cable side of things, Hyperlite just picked up Marc Schuster (local Rixen Rider) and he is arguably one of the best cable riders in the world right now and is only 17. Remember folks, Rixen is where Jimmy learned all of his skills, and once Marc starts getting behnid a boat, Hyperlite is going to have another unbeatable boat rider. Adam Errington is going to be Ronix's star. The cable is going to bring out a new flock of awesome riders because the kids become so diverse, they have no switch or regular. I got serious into the cable my freshman year in college when i was away from home and had no boat to ride behind down here in south florida and have watched all of these kids develop into amazing wakeboarders. The crazy thing is that these young kids have only been riding for 3 or 4 years and got as good as they have. If i remember correctly, Jimmy rode his first Jr. mens contest only 6 months after riding boat. Everyone should check out www.trufei.com They have some awesome cable and boat vids of these kids and you guys will really be amazed!!
