is there a perfect wakeboard out there?

sorry if this has been discussed before. is there a board out there that is fast but has a quick release off the wake,or do you have to sacrifice one for the other. i rode a 04 premier for a while, good pop seemed a little slow, now i ride an 04 absolute and love the release but its not the fastest board. rode an 06 watson the other day loved how it"tracked" once on edge but the release off the wake was a little slower than the absolute, some tricks seem easier to do with a fast board, and others with a board that releases quick off the wake. i'm not an expert by far, few inverts, 180's, working on some 3's. i know technique and time on the water will help more than anything, but can you get the best of both worlds on a board?

each mans perfect board is different based on his own riding style, mine is the 03 absolute plat.

Mike is right. You'll just have to try out boards and see what "fits" you best. mine is an 04 Hyperlite Motive 134. I tried others and just couldn't perform well at all. got back on my motive and ripped! good luck.

Well if you want fast have a look at boards like the 3ds, drive, empire, shane, LF Team......each company has their "fast" board, and with the option of fins you can tweak it to have a quicker release. Personally I ride a murray 142 that has a really quick release.

gdog, I like the PS3 its faster than the watson and has way less drag off the top of the wake. Next time we are out hit me up and you can give it a spin.

yea i'll try it. starting to sound like you with the boards.ha! ha! i really dont mind the absolute. guess i'm getting to the pont where i'm progressing and can tell the difference between boards and the "feel" of them. me and chelle going to try and take the malibu out wed if weather permits. will give you a holla!!!
