F250 Lariet, Super Crew Cab, 7.3 Turbo Powerstroke Diesel, 4x4, tow package, leather, all black, with a Banks kit. Towed with it for the first time this past weekend and all I can say is WOW.

Nice ride! Black trucks sure look good when they are clean. I bet you can’t even tell your boat is back there when towing. Now only if it was a long bed you could fit your boat in the back and not worry about needing a trailer. What… no pics with your boat behind your rig yet…?? Is it a daily driver… or just for towing?

Swass, when your truck GROWS up it will have bigger tires and a banks kit too! Just for towing, the daily ride is a 93' Jeep Wrangler.

I see you have a tandem axle trailer, you might want to think about a drop hitch for your rig to get a more level towing attitude.

I like the look of that super crew cab. Seems like it would be comfortable for, say, out-of-towners in need of a ride in style... Awesome looking truck! Congrats!

Did you buy that new? My buddy has the same truck w/o the banks... although he is still kicking himself for not getting it. Did you look at the 6.0L diesel?

dookie is as dookie does. i think you have to get a f550 to get a real motor in a ford. can you say CAT. gramps, check the ph of the coolant and add fs-15 if you have green coolant. keep a cam position sensor in the glove box. buy one at an IH dealer. Aki knows I have the same truck. I'm just yankin' his chain, because I'm jealous of his Banks kit. (Message edited by swass on February 10, 2004)

once ya own the diesel 3/4 ton rigs, towing with anything else, is well.....just not towing. I have the Banks monster exhaust along with a Superchips 80HP. Get those gauges if you don't have them. Nothing will ruin the day faster on a diesel than high EGT's.

All I did was pull him out of the water on the ramp and park it and I was impressed. I'm starting to realize why all those people that own them drive with a cocky look on their face. They can't help it, it's badass!

congrats on that ride Gramps! Banks even! Wow! You should have told me, Mine is for sale. I could have saved you some $. Mine is listed for $27K but you could've got cheaper. Does anyone know someone in the market for a F250 Lariat Crew Cab Longbed 4x4 loaded, lifted and immaculate for $27K?

I'll tell you where to go to start getting info on all sorts of mods and information regarding your Powerstroke. www.thedieselstop.com I have an older model but, I've done enough mods to have more hp and torque than the new ones plus a bunch of other stuff. Don't go there, unless you want to know every good and bad thing about the PDS engine. I went there one day, and now I am addicted to that site. I also worry everytime I drive the truck that it is making the noises described there. BTW, the truck doesn't even know when a trailer is behind it. Much better than my old '94 F150.

Oh ya nice..Have one just like that except for the Banks kit. Its towing power is exceptional. I have a lot of people who compliment the interior space. I have neighbor who is 6'7" and fits in the back with ease.

My oil leaks, broken alternator and difficulty starting have nothing to do with my penchant for running over/into innocent white mullet trash, thank you very much!
