Call me Crazy Larry, but I could swear that they added sound effects on each trick and either they had an audience clap track going or those Chinese clap like crazy after each trick. Anyway, good video of the top pro men and women. Check it...
its cool to be able to understand most of it, but then again it probably was not necessary as english was used a bit. most the Chinese words used was saying how many degrees the spins were and how "pretty" (piao liang) and "awesome" (bang) etc. some of the tricks were. i am not very good at naming and recognizing tricks, but i swear the degrees announced on a couple of the spins were off by 180*
Jeremy - Mandarin Chinese Speakin' Very cool - Where did you learn that.
David - Thanks for posting! They are all clapping because they know that they build the boards the riders are using. Lets hope that maybe a few hundred thousand Chinese get stoked and buy American Made Wakeboard Boats.
In the video, at 5:20, Phil is asked what he thinks of the city of Liuzhou. He says "If you are thinking of taking a vacation here, I wouldn't suggest it".
Learned Mandarin Chinese while living and serving a mission in Taiwan for 2 years for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). Great experience it was!
