prop shaft packing

Hey all,

I need to replace the prop shaft packing. Apparently the material comes in different thicknesses. Does anyone happen to know the size needed for 2008 Sanger V215 w/330 Black Scorpion? Or, what is the best way to determine the correct size?

Any good videos, tips, or tricks? Never replaced it before.

Thanks!

I was in the same position as you a few weeks ago. Email Martin at Bakes Marine. He got back to quickly with the correct diameter needed for my '06 Supra Launch 21V. His email is martin@bakesmarine.com

This doesn't answer your question but I saw something that looked very promising. OJ props makes a dripless system that seems pretty simple to install and does not require plumbing water to the thing like other brands. Maybe that would be something that would work for you.
