New to Cedar Creek, Texas

Waddup Crew - I'm taking the fam out to Cedar Creek for at the month of June, but it's our first time on the lake. We're staying just North of the midway point on the lake, East side (Mabank). Main piece of advice I'm looking for is a lay of the land for those looking to surf 80% board 20% of time. I've heard there can be shallow parts and stumps to be concerned about (Downloaded the Navionics app and it looks like North gets real spotty and shallow).
After that if there are any spots/restaurants/extra curricular/etc lemme know, it is much appreciated! Hope boating is making everyone's 2020 feel semi-normal.

Thanks
