AHHHH I STOMPED A 540!!!!!

whoooo!!!!!!

sorry im super stoked.

i had been trying them all day and i finally stuck one.

sadly no video though

brody 06-14-2007 9:30 PM

Thats great! Was the 540 TS or HS?

closedtoe 06-14-2007 9:38 PM

Chris if your riding with the wedge either add 500 or 600 pounds to the front of the boat, Keep the rear ballast empty or ride without the wedge. These things have helped keep the wake clean farther back for me

oopsds92 06-15-2007 4:56 AM

caleb, thats pretty sick dude! was that ur first one? and yes was it hs or ts? was it flat or off-axis?

dlwsrider 06-15-2007 10:05 AM

I spun it heelside, and it was flat. I cant spin off axis, but im working on that haha.

im gonna start working on them toeside because i hear their easier toeside

lfboarder94 06-15-2007 7:42 PM

i was siked when i landed my first ts 180 first try last weekend, know i dont feel so special lol, props for the 540

dlwsrider 06-15-2007 10:32 PM

ah dude i wanted to throw a friggen party my first toeside 180!

congrats man

wakekid72501 06-16-2007 4:02 PM

im 12 wats up

hawk7 06-16-2007 5:16 PM

I'm tryin to create a new trick, call it the 131 or somethin. H/S FS 180 to 311 to BS 180. cant get the handle pass on the BS 180 though. tryin to land my tantrums consistently.

Just bought a sickk X-2 today. used to ride behind a supreme v208, but this x-2 is better because it actually has a wake! you believe that? ha.

brody 06-16-2007 8:03 PM

Does anyone wakesurf? I like to do it when the water is blown out.

lfboarder94 06-17-2007 5:43 PM

so how was everyones weekend, i didnt get a chance to go out but it was beautiful

clwake 06-17-2007 7:06 PM

kiwi1 06-18-2007 4:16 AM

Check out wake news....

lfboarder94 06-18-2007 4:39 AM

nice job vik

wakeboardnchica 06-18-2007 9:34 AM

i just started wakesurfing this summer and love it!

brody 06-19-2007 2:55 PM

what other sports are you guys doing.
I snowboard, surf, skimboard, skateboard, mountain bike, football, tennis, and golf. Its fun to have some change.

lfboarder94 06-19-2007 3:00 PM

i snow board, snow ski, bike(alot) whenever im not wakeboarding, skate, and soccer, and tons of other things like playing with FIRE!!!

brody 06-20-2007 9:41 AM

and guess what...
...i am finally out of school today. Let the wakeboarding begin!!!! This summer is going to be great.

(Message edited by brody on June 20, 2007)

dlwsrider 06-20-2007 12:44 PM

i skateboard but i quit all the other sports i did so i could focus on wakeboarding and wakeskating.

congrats on getting out chris!

lfboarder94 06-20-2007 1:51 PM

same i got out yesterday summer wakeboarding begins FRIDAY

dlwsrider 06-20-2007 2:19 PM

ive been out for a while, dang guys.

i woke up at 2 pm today.

god that felt good

brody 06-21-2007 9:14 AM

How can you sleep in 'til 2pm? I went to bed at 1am last night and woke up at 8:30am. I think the longest I have ever slept in is 9:30am.

...but if sleeping in lets you do 540s, I could get used to it.

lfboarder94 06-21-2007 6:04 PM

what i sleep till like 11 normaly but 2pm sounds nice so how often do most of you get to ride

wakeboardnchica 06-21-2007 6:32 PM

i ride just about everyday

dlwsrider 06-21-2007 7:12 PM

i ride almost every day in the summer.

and im not gonna say its easier to land shizzle after a good slumber but its nice.

im like a hibernating grizzly bear when i sleep, and i react as such to being woken up early

brody 06-22-2007 10:35 AM

I only get to go out to wakeboard about one to two weeks per month. I want to get out more, but never get the opportunity.

Right now I have mixed emotions because I am doing freshmen football camp until July 29th Monday-Thursday which will cut from wakeboarding time. Hopefully something will work out.

PS- I woke up at 8:30 this morning, as late as I could go without getting board of laying in bed.

(Message edited by brody on June 22, 2007)

dlwsrider 06-22-2007 10:46 AM

you have to pick priorities occasionally man.

i dropped baseball and tennis to become a full time boarder.

it was worth it though man haha

woohoo 06-22-2007 1:53 PM

Besides wakeboarding and wakeskating I skateboard, play tennis, run, and swim. I got to ride all week long it was sweet! I hurt my knee though and every time I landed or pushed off the wake it hurt.

drewsy 06-22-2007 2:19 PM

Max, Is that Indian Lake in Dowagiac?

goatroper222000 06-22-2007 4:10 PM

Hit my 360 today!!!!! i did it once fell on the next one and then hit 2 more!!! Im so friggin stoked rite now its not even funny!!

Caleb,
i'm havin trouble with my tantrum...i'm gettin good pop and the rotation is fine but when i go to land i just get slammed and the rope pops out of my hand...any tips?? thanx

lespaul 06-23-2007 11:02 AM

i was thinkin about posting agin just so i could be but i didnt...

brody 06-24-2007 4:08 PM

I hardly do tennis and golf, and occasionally surf/skimboard, and my main sports are wakeboarding, skateboarding, and football.

dlwsrider 06-24-2007 6:19 PM

Josh sorry it took me so long to get back to you!

it sounds like your not spotting your landing.

get on a trampolin and just do backflip after backflip after backflip until you see the trampoline the whole way through, then learn to look for the other wake!

itsmebudro 06-24-2007 6:39 PM

15 years old

Tennessee

brody 06-24-2007 9:00 PM

How do you convert the backflip on a trampoline over to a tantrum. I can comfortably flip all day long, but when I tried it on water i didn't get the rotation right and landed upside down. I think this was happening because I hit the wake at to much of an angle and not parallel enough, and wasn't releasing my back hand which held me back from the rotation. I am pretty sure this is the reason of falling, but are there any more tips that could help?

I might be over-thinking it too, lol.

craigystyle_05 06-25-2007 1:38 AM

chris.... on my tantrum i haul ass into the wake really squated down and as im at the wake i just turn my board and stand up and fly.... it always starts like that though not making rotation... i was the same as you... just go balls to the wall really squated down and when u get to the wake just turn the board and stand up...

goatroper222000 06-25-2007 5:03 AM

Thats perty much wat ive been doin.. thanx. i ges ill hav to keep workin

maybe one day i can reach your level of skillocity...lol..is that a word??? ha

(Message edited by goatroper222000 on June 25, 2007)

goatroper222000 06-25-2007 5:47 AM

Also,
thinkin about gettin a skate...prolly gunna go for the armada 43". i like the channels on it. other skates ive ridden dont have any and are really slick. do you think that would be good. i weigh around 180. thanx

wakeman7 06-25-2007 8:29 AM

Wow caleb your really good I hope I am that good when I am your age. I landed my backroll a couple months ago. I am working on 3s and frontrolls now. I usually ride behind our 17.5 ft bayliner but also take lessons behind a san. I am hopefully going to get some fat sacks soon but there so exspensive.

dlwsrider 06-25-2007 4:20 PM

haha thanks man.

on the frontroll, go into the wake with enough speed to take you out into the flats, hold onto the handle with both hands until you are perfectly upside down, then let go with your rear hand so you dont start going into a scarecrow.

near the end spot your landing and move the handle closer to the small of your back so you dont slide on your heels.

and the 3

remember the 3 p's

pop, pull, pass.

wakeman7 06-25-2007 6:09 PM

thanks I have been taking a agressive cut for the front I just forget to ride all the way up the wake alot. I keep forgeting the pull on the three so I go off axis and eat it.

wakekid72501 06-25-2007 8:07 PM

i am 12 from arkansas

p.s. i am watching out for sexual predators yall don't want to meet chris hansen of dateline nbc do you

(Message edited by wakekid72501 on June 25, 2007)

dlwsrider 06-25-2007 8:21 PM

ah dude we need to trade approaches.

ive been trying to get mine a bit more off axis.

and justin what part of arkansas are you from man?

wakekid72501 06-25-2007 8:38 PM

Caleb: independence county or batesville
where are you from

craigystyle_05 06-26-2007 1:24 AM

yo i knew caleb was from arkansas... im from arkansas too... i recently relocated to arkadelphia and ive been hangin with the diamond lake water sport guys a lil bit.... they have nothing but good things to say about caleb and clay fraley...

headhunter 06-26-2007 5:05 AM

Did anyone see Jr. womens finals at Nats? Victoria Kulp killed it, came away with the win!!....

wakeman7 06-26-2007 6:14 AM

I have no problem going off axis but it hurts if you miss the handle pass and dont land right.

wakeman7 06-26-2007 6:21 AM

Do any of you guys drive the boat for other riders. I was pulling my dad the other day and it is pretty easy.

qcwake 06-26-2007 7:20 AM

Yeah her run was definitely sikk in the finals.

lfboarder94 06-27-2007 5:03 AM

so how long have must of you guys been riding

cwbx993 06-27-2007 6:51 AM

2 months
so i cant do much yet

woohoo 06-27-2007 7:03 AM

I've been riding for about year and a half.

wakeman7 06-27-2007 10:57 AM

2 years but I just started really trying to do stuff about 6 months ago.

lfshane132 06-27-2007 11:41 AM

hah sorry andrew im a little late i dont go on the computer that much in summer but yea indian lake in dowagiac

drewsy 06-27-2007 12:55 PM

Hey Max why don't you give my sons a call they are on "the bluff" side of the lake.

wakekid72501 06-27-2007 6:19 PM

i have been riding for two years and am just starting to learn some simple tricks

dlwsrider 06-27-2007 9:20 PM

craig, yeah dude clay kills it.

not only is he the team captain and fellow rider on diamond lakes, hes my best friend!

im from little rock justin,

but i travel everywhere duty calls haha.

im supposed to give this guy on lake catherine so lessons so im pretty stoked on that

wakeman7 06-28-2007 6:36 AM

Caleb I saw your review on the ronix vault I am thinking about getting this board what are your thoughts on it.

brody 06-29-2007 9:49 AM

I am so stoked, I get to go to Lake Naci over the fourth of July week. I am hoping to learn some inverts (TS/HS backroll, TS Frontroll, or Tantrum) or a new spin (TS/HS BS 180, HS/TS FS 360). I'll post pics too so you guys can help me out. Thanks for all the help already!

lfboarder94 06-29-2007 3:04 PM

finnaly, tomorow nj wakefest is here, should be an awesome day on in bordentown, nj. ill post so pics soon

brody 06-29-2007 6:50 PM

Caleb, how come when you click on your name for the review of the ronix one, it goes to Neopets? LOL, just wondering.

dlwsrider 06-29-2007 7:00 PM

i dont believe i reviewed the vault... your probably confused, but i do have a friedn that rides it and he loves it, its a sick board.

and chris, what the hell? of all the places were it could go lol. i have no idea ask dave on that one,

go for the h/s 3 and the tantrum.

both are everytime tricks for me now all it takes is gettign the fundamentals of it.

wakeman7 06-29-2007 7:14 PM

I must of clicked on the one instead of vault I feel like an idiot now.

dlwsrider 06-29-2007 7:40 PM

haha yeah i ride the one, thats probably a bit more on target man

wakeman7 06-29-2007 7:52 PM

I would get the one but I dont think my current setup is going to last long enough for me to earn enough to drop that kind of dough.

(Message edited by wakeman7 on June 29, 2007)

dlwsrider 06-29-2007 11:15 PM

the vault is a sick board too.

you can get an 06 LF board like the watson or shane for cheap, and its basically the same design just different graffics from this years boards

brody 06-30-2007 9:39 AM

When I am attempting the tantrums and 360s is it better to go finless? Right now I have 0.8" in on my watson.

dlwsrider 06-30-2007 9:54 AM

its preferance chris, its all up to you

brody 06-30-2007 10:07 AM

Wow, you are up early, lol.

Okey, i'll try both.

(Message edited by brody on June 30, 2007)
