sperbet made a post in this thread: 1998 ski challenger steering cable??It's most likely the steering cable. $500-$700 sounds about right at a shop. The cable itself usually runs around $150 and you can do it yourself in a few hours. It's not that hard of a project just takes a little time.

He's also had problems with coaches. There is a lot of risk there, whether you can admit it to yourself or not.
