Your edging could use a change up. Roll onto edge to avoid slack, quickly get on and near the trough of the wake ease off, and by the top of the wake you should be off your edge. Your hips and shoulders should be parallel to the boat / wake.

I'm not sure, but I would not run it with any more load than needed during that time. I don't see why 3500 rpm @ 20 MPH because of XYZ weight is any different than 3500 rpm @ 25 mph because there is no ballast is any different.... but it can't ...

Don't go I/O. You should be able to get an older Supra, Sport Nautique, 205 DD for $10k.... that will be leaps and bounds better than almost any IO

I guess there is one other option, since I have two of these Type-Rs from our old boat. I didn't want to run two subs to eat that much of my storage space up, but I could go: Sub 1 DVC parallel @ 1 ohm --> Series to --> Sub 2 DVC paralle...
