Review: Vikingsextreme Clothing

It seems pretty trendy these days to start an "extreme sports" clothing company. In fact, it's downright rampant in the wakeboarding industry. A few years ago you couldn't even find clothes made specifically for wakeboarders. Now, you can't swing a dead cat without coming in contact with a new company looking to sell you the latest and coolest fashions. In a way, it's a good thing. Wakeboarders get a better selection to choose from and it allows everyone to dress as uniquely as they want to. Recently, however, I was introduced to a clothing company that both specializes in the wakeboarding lifestyle and provides all the selection you need and more all within their own product line.
I'm not sure how they came up with the name, Vikingsextreme, but it sure does raise some eyebrows. In fact, the company recently got into some hot water with some mothers that noticed the word 'sex' right there in the middle of Vikingsextreme. They even went so far as to get a local shop to stop carrying Vikingsextreme gear!
Well, if you can see your way past the earth-shattering revelation brought to you by MAV (Mothers Against Vikingsextreme), you'll find that what really makes Vikingsextreme stand out from some of the other clothing companies is it's wide selection of products and it's unique and humorous slogans that they apply to their wares. They have T-shirts saying things like, "I throw tantrums," "I love hoochies," "To be or to KGB. That is the question" or, their standby slogan, "Pillage the village." They even have boxers that say, "Unleash the barbarian within."
The quality is excellent as well. I'm super impressed with the overall sturdiness and thickness of each of the products I've seen. The hoodies are especially impressive with killer color combinations and thick linings. They're very warm.
As I said before, the selection at Vikingsextreme runs deep. They have tons of different shirt styles, short and long sleeve, boardshorts, hats, boxers, hoodies and a huge line of women's gear including tanks, baby dolls, boardshorts, hoodies, ringer tees and baseball tees. A variety of colors from brights to darks are also available.
You should definitely check out all the Vikingsextreme gear at your local shop or online at www.vikingsextreme.com. You can even make your purchase on their website.
When we initially posted this review, the first three people to answer our Vikingsextreme trivia questions won some Vikingsextreme gear. The winners were:
- Rick Knott - Hoochie Hoodie
- James Kleinschnitz - Hoochie Hat
- Frank Bilbrey - Pillage the Village T-shirt
