2008 Hyperlite Apex 142
The Apex series rides higher in the water than any of our other three-stage boards. The Fret Rail Design allows the board to set a quick turn and has less friction on the water. This is our most universal three-stage rocker.

I just switched to this board late summer and found it to be awesome. I love the control off the wake, I love the pop, it rides a hard edge as long "as you weight it properly" without breaking lose.
I never expected this board to be so perfect. Then again its the old Era and that says a lot considering its one of the best selling boards ever. I would recommend this board if you can still find one.
