2008 Liquid Force SST 42
If youre a fan of wakeskating, you know weve spent more time perfecting this design than pretty much any other product weve ever built. When it was first released mid summer, 2007, it quickly became the most talked about skate in the markettrue skaters finally had what theyd been looking for in a skate. Created by Silas Thurman and our design team, this deck incorporates several firsts. Its the first dual level deck to utilize a compression molded top and a wood bottom. This was done to ensure durability, as well as the skate feel. Most importantly, this deck has serious spring in its pop! The design has been ridden hard by Silas, Aaron Reed and several of our skaters. Theyve all come back to us stoked. Aaron likes the way the board pops to his feet when hes doing 3 shuvs across the wake and Silas is stoked with the ability to simply snap ollies and tech tricks more explosively. If youre ready for the next generation of wakeskate that is engineered to take your riding to the next level, the SST is it.

The SST is an awesome board I love it. The ollie pop is crazy because of the bilevel, really snappy, almost feels like your cheating. I usually don’t ride with fins, its pretty loose just use your edges. The only bad thing is the wood bottom deck falls apart pretty easy but the 09 SST is all composite, can’t wait to try it out. I ride my friends 40.5 when I can and I like it a lot better, but I like a smaller board and I can really tell the difference. Also when winching, little rocks and other debris get wedged inbetween the 2 decks at the tip and tail. They mostly get lodged into the wood and you gotta take the 2 decks apart and clean it out. Maybe the 09 composite ones will handle this better. Other than that this is the best skate I’ve ever ridden.

Can someone please answer this one question for me. Why don’t they make both composite top and bottom? Keep the shape of the wood bottom because it is the best but just make it composite and keep the top with the concave. I loved this board so much but after 3 weeks of riding and almost finishing my video part my board breaks on a kickflip. What the heck! This is by far the best board I have ever skated. Front bigs and back bigs have never been easier. 3 shuvs inside out toe and heel stay level for an easy catch. Why can’t they perfect this design though? With gas prices the way they are I cannot spend 349.99 just on a wakeskate that will break in 3 weeks. Sorry for rambling. Great deck!

Though this skate is heavy, it rides nice and high through the chop. I love how stable this skate is. The dual level makes it easy to throw shuvs and spins. Overall the best skate I’ve ever ridden.

The great part about this board is you can land pretty sketchy and still ride out pretty easily.
It’s a great board!
