2008 Ronix Covin 143
Our quickest series generates more board angle and glide into the wake than any other style of "fast" board Chad has ever ridden. This new style of charger has a sharp rail in the belly for speedy edge transfers and more of a vertical sidewall in the tail so the board sets a strong edge without burying it. The Covin is a hard edging deck that doesnt sit super deep in the water, which can create too much drag and effective edge with the water. Instead, the speed comes from the edge angle, increased glide, and a tight load line that creates additional lift.

I have always been a Hyperlite rider...I wanted to go out on limb and try a Ronix...The Covin is an awesome board! When set on edge it sticks..but can break loose if need be...defiantely helped me decide what kinda board i want from now on

poor quality: the board looks great but is soo o fragile. I used it less than 10 times and had to repair it twice already...until yesterday when it just broke in the middle while landing a basic heelside jump!!! I couldn’t believe it.
Too bad i loved it but I can’t affor to buy a new board every 10 rides.

I only ride at cable parks, so I can’t say how it performs behind the boat yet, but this board is awesome for the parks. Whether it’s air tricks or sliders, it handles both well. It’s super fast, it has a loose feel without the fins, and with the fins it holds to the water much, much tighter. Off the sliders it feels great for rotations, and for air tricks it edges very well and the launch feels awesome.
