2007 O'Brien System 140
All new for 07, the System wakeboard has all the features you need for fun on the water. Starting with a sweet continuous rocker and center fin, the System provides a stable platform for learning new moves. Molded side fins and huge double-barrel channels let this board track on edge and explode off the wake! The System is a great board if you are just starting out in wakeboarding or if you need another board on the boat.

Hi, this board isn“t good. I broke it when doing a little jump over the wake. The foil of edges was loosed after one year use.

I hate to say it because I really really love some of their shapes especially the Natural and the Player of which both boards I own, but,... Whats going on with O’Brien? Are they having quality/warranty issues or what? We heard about some of these boards breaking but thought they were just being abused on rails/sliders and stuff, but then we got one of these for a new rider and we quickly began to see the problems with it. The System seems very very flimsy, because IT IS. The System seems to handle in a rather clumsy way compared to most other boards. It is supposed to be a beginners board but because of its overall general poor handling characteristics it does not give a beginner much confidence. Lets face it, an experienced rider can ride just about anything and make it look fairly good but this is supposed to be a stable confidence builder for the beginner but it really does not do this very well. We ride about 16 different boards, everything from Ronix, LF, Hyperlite, O’Brien and even Krown and the difference in the overall quality of construction between them and the System is like night and day and is seen immediately. We rode this thing a couple of times then put it away for good. It now lays around under the bed and that is where it will stay. There are so many good beginner/intermediate boards out there you can buy but the System IS NOT ONE OF THEM!
I have to agree with the other review when they said its a cheap board that did not last long.
Do yourself a favor don’t buy it without trying something else in the O’Brien line because they do make other great quality boards, the system just does not seem to be one of them.

Sorry O’Brien but this board is a piece of dirt! The board does not control well and edges average to below average. It just behaves badly, don’t buy this board because if you do you will be sorry that you did. I got it and hate it. I own CWB’s, Hyperlites and liquid force boards and all of those are overall pretty solid but the System by O’Brien is a just Gosh awful waste of money.

I had this board for less than 2 months and it snapped in half while I was riding on the flat. It was an inexpensive board that didn’t last long.

i was really amazed on how good this board rode for the price of this board it is one the best! lands really soft and held up good on rails and sliders! this board was really loose without the center fins i used liquid force center fins the O’Brien fins that came with it are to big for sliders. i ride cable all the time, i’ve rode and broke many boards of all brands. i am very Happy with my O’Brien board and depending on how long this board holds up on the rails i will get other O’Brien board!!
