2007 Hyperlite State 140
The State series is a shape that you don't have to learn how to ride. The features let a boarder determine their own style. This series is the building block to the rest of the high-end line.

great board for anyone trying to set a solid foundation to grow on. i have ridden it for 2 seasons and it allows progression really fast. i am ready to move on to a more advanced board but am still progressing as long as i am riding. bottom line... learn to get up, buy the state, ride it for 1 season, get new bindings(because the stock ones are really flimsy and loose), use it for 1-2 more seasons, and buy a new faster poppier more aggressive board. that is what i did.

I recommend this board for anyone that’s just beginning or working thru their first few seasons, I’ve only been ridin’ for 2 an’ a half months and it’s advanced my progression by huge leaps an’ I’m only gettin’ better, the landings are cushiony, and it’s edging is pretty gradual so you can really lean on it or just ease into a turn. I plan on keepin’ this board for at least another 2-3 seasons some ratings are low, but this’ my first board and I’ve only ridden 2 other boards that’re more for experienced riders so I can’t really give a more credible rating. the bindings could use more work though, you really have to cinch them down once your feet’re in them with the quik ties, and they tend to come loose after a couple crashes and you have to retighten them, and you also wanna make sure to check your locks since they can loosen as well but other than that the State bindings are a decent pair of boots to start with.
