2007 CWB Marius 140
Width is the best thing to hit wakeboarding if done right. Trevor did it right. Trevor rides with a style that makes his riding look effortless. Coasting into the wake and boosting a method back five eight feet skyward. The question is how can he get so high with such little edge? Width my friend. Lay your eyes on the Marius and the first thing you will see is that it is the widest board ever. This extra width means mucho surface area, which translates into lift, soft landings and great room for stickers. Wide boards are historically harder to edge, which is why most on the market are short wide boards The brilliant minds at CWB developed V-Tech to enable the first fully functioning wide, long board on the market. This deep V means rocker at the corner is nearly 3", but in the middle it is almost an inch lower. The V-Tech makes the long wide board switch edges incredibly fast, turning like a long narrow board. Gone are the days of sacrificing pop when edging hard. With V-Tech and the massive real estate packed into the Marius, bring on the pop!

This is the first board I have owned since the ’03 Absolute. Its amazing to see how boards have come along. The Marius is pretty much perfect for me, as I am a rider who prefers a more skatey feel on the water (I ride the board finless), and this helps for rotating on to sliders aswell. It is also surprisingly fast and willing to turn, unlike the LF Substance I have been riding for a while. The board has a solid pop and is firm but easy on the landings. It does seem to abrade on obstacles but less than some boards I have ridden. It does everything the company said it would so I am impressed and would recommend it to anyone.

As many have said, the board feels slow at first. Don’t let this one negative taint your view of the ride. Once settled in, the pop and landings on this board far outweigh any negatives. I don’t do sliders, so no opinion here. With proper form, the pop is super easy with a melow style. It matches my style well.

This board is so slow and heavy feeling, landings are rough cuz you can’t land with speed, inverts and raleys are weird cuz it’s so heavy, ollies are hard to dig your tail in, and edges get ripped up on rails or just an accidental drop, hard to lay on edge. Pop is pretty good not that it matters after all the negatives this board has. With experience of 2 CWB boards (transcend), I would never buy a CWB again.

I think this is a great board, I ride alot of sliders and ramps and this is great but, it seems to fall apart faster that i can buy new ones. If the molded fins were a bit bigger and the board was made stronger, this would be the best board on the market in my opinion.
