2006 Hyperlite Scape 116
The Scape series shares a similar underside to the Phriction for the classic wood snap and feel on the water. An inexpensive, wood core deck for skaters looking to take the drop for the first time. Designed with similar rocker line and traction pad as some of our high end series for the best control in and off the water. Bootless freedom of expression at our most affordable value.

Huge issue with this board. After my first run I had paint chips and the foam grip on the board was comming off. I have since had to use liquid nails constantly to keep the foam on the board and not falling off. Really makes me want to switch to liquid force products for my next skate

This board felt pretty good at first. Then after my first run I noticed that there were cracks in it and the paint was already chipping off. I couldnt believe it! It is an inexpensive board but this is ridiculous. Why bother making a board that wont last you through the first day! Hyperlite makes some awsome products but they have dissapointed me this time. I think I will upgrade to at least a catalyst. I think the main problem with the scape is that it is made of wood. I would suggest getting something made other than a wood core.
