2006 O'Brien Demented 141
The Demented series was introduced in 2004 and has taken the wakeboard community by storm. With a progressive rocker, the board is not only fast, but has an explosiveness off the wake that has riders going bigger than they ever dreamed possible. The R&D team at O'Brien have widened the tip, tail and mid-section of the board, while keeping the edge-to-edge characteristics of a narrower board. The Demented also boasts an elevated composite exoskeleton for strength, lighter weight and responsiveness.

This is the second Demented board i have ridden and this might just be the best board i have ridden yet! Seriously! You can fly into the flats, and the landings are always pretty soft, i just love this board. Its not the lightest board but that doesn’t hold me back at all. Some boards aren’t as good toeside i’ve noticed, but this is perfect in both directions. If you have a chance to try out a Demenented board, try it! This is the best thing O’brien has ever made.

Im only a begginner to intermediate rider, but I can still recognize a good board when I ride one. This board is amazing. The progressive rocks lifts you off the wake more than any otherboard I have ridden and the fin setup allows you to spin on the water almost like you dont have any on, but when you turn the fins lock in really hard and you rocket towards the wake. Definetly a solid choice for any rider in my book.

My review here is for the cirrus core which is a very different animal, however it is a great light big board but damages easily being a cirrus core so handles will puncture the skin easily when pinging out of the hand. Also look out for warranty arrangements with Obrien. I live in the uk and bought my board and bindings from miamiskinautiques who handled my warranty issues poorly but I guess O’Brien have lost some core values along the way. Great Board Rubbish internatiional warranty support through online dealers.
